MECC 2000 shines at Sace’s open day: innovation and sustainability as export drivers

The Reggio Emilia-based company MECC 2000 stood out as one of the protagonists of the recent event promoted by Sace, the renowned Italian insurance-financial group controlled by the Ministry of Economy, which involved several of its offices from north to south. With more than 40 years of experience in the metal machining on order sector MECC 2000 was awarded the role of testimonial of SMEs in the area, with its general manager Dr. comm. Liana Cigarini who illustrated the crucial importance of innovation and sustainability as fundamental export drivers.

SACE has played a crucial role in supporting MECC 2000 in this internationalisation process, and the company had the honour of appearing at the tele-event among the best performances achieved by Italian SMEs in digitalisation, innovation and internationalisation, which, among other things, earned it first place in the call for tenders issued by the Emilia-Romagna Region for investments aimed at innovation and digital transition.

The open day was the perfect opportunity to share MECC 2000’s exciting recent experience with hundreds of users connected to the webinar. After decades of success on the Italian market, the company decided to launch a new line of innovative products aimed at the international context by investing in a robust digital marketing campaign to promote its brand beyond national borders. This ambitious project was led by foreign director Dr. Ezio Colombo, a technical and design expert in the filtration sector, who was able to exploit current niche markets with his many years of experience.

Through this strategy, MECC 2000 has conquered a prominent role on the international stage, gaining the trust of multinational companies and prestigious customers. To meet this challenge, the company has accelerated the process of digitisation and managerial and process innovation to the maximum, gaining extraordinary recognition.

In just 12 months, MECC 2000’s efforts have exceeded all expectations, positioning the company as a benchmark in the metal machining industry on order, not only nationally, but also internationally.
